ROMANO EXCLUSIVE Inter's latest South American target is too expensive

Inter are still making waves in the South American market, and have found themselves a new target: Miguel Almiron of Lanus.

A Paraguayan winger who can also play in a box-to-box role, the 22-year-old was picked up by INter’s scouting and the subject of negotiations with the Argentine club last summer, which didn’t lead to anywhere despite a €4-5 million bid, plus bonuses.

Lanus didn’t just want double figures for their player, Almiron doesn’t possess an EU passport, either, something Inter hope he’ll get in January to make him ready for next season, so as to not have him take up a non-EU slot. If they can’t, they hope to have someone like Chievo or Pescara pick him up on loan.

That said, the situation doesn’t seem to be an easy one: the €12-13m requested by Lanus has already chased away Zenit and Arsenal. Will Inter stick by their man?
