    Roma, Spalletti defends Gerson: 'He slowed Alex Sandro down'

    Roma coach Luciano Spalletti spoke to Mediaset after the Juve-Roma game (1-0), here is what he had to say on the matter: "Allegri seemed happy to me since with a win, they can now control their situation better. We did a good job to neutralize their counter-attacks but then we did give up possession cheaply on some occasions. I liked the way we played after their goal but we sould've started off the game stronger. We will now have to be good to recuperate points off Juve".  

    Gerson ?" Well he was on a yellow card so that came into play. I think he did a good job as he slowed down Alex Sandro". 

    " We leave the Juve stadium feeling bad for sure since we needed to get a result. They deserved it in the end, we will have to be better. Only 1 goal vs Milan and Juve? Well it happens, sometimes you score 5 goals in a game ,other times you struggle to score one. We are still one of the teams who score the most goals in the Serie A, so I am not worried about this ".
