There’s some worrying news for Roma ahead of Sunday’s derby encounter against Lazio after striker Mo Salah pulled up in training this afternoon with an injury to his right ankle. The Egyptian frontman clashed with former Arsenal defender Thomas Vermaelen and will now undergo tests tomorrow morning to find out the extent of the injury.
 

Sky Sport claims that not only is he a doubt for Sunday’s big game, but that the injury could rule him out for up to two weeks. With both Juventus and Milan on the agenda for the giallorossi before the Christmas break, coach Luciano Spalletti can ill afford to lose any more members of his first-team squad. The Tuscan tactician already looks set to without midfielder Leandro Paredes and with defender Mario Rui only just coming back to fitness and Alessandro Florenzi a long-term absentee, he will be praying for a swift recovery to one of his main goalscorers.
