Antonio Rudiger is back in the Roma starting XI. Yesterday, he came through his first 90 minutes in the 0-0 draw at Empoli but the Corriere dello Sport has discovered that his long awaited comeback was nearly put on hold on Friday after a bizarre incident with his Lamborghini.
 

After training, the 23-year-old German international went to the club’s Villa Stuart medical centre to call in on the unfortunate Alessandro Florenzi, who also suffered a cruciate knee injury last week against Sassuolo. When Rudiger arrived at the clinic, the fact that the car is aerodynamically low down, it forced him to make an unnatural twisting of the knee as he climbed out of the vehicle which brought great pain and resulted in him seeking specialist advice on the spot. Fortunately for the big German defender, it proved to be nothing serious and he was available to travel to Tuscany on Sunday.
