Roma return to Chelsea target Brozovic, but on one condition. The details
Marcelo Brozovic is ready to bid farewell to Inter; the Croatian international does not want to renew his contract and has been put on the transfer market to help balance the books in respect of the financial fair-play restrictions imposed on the nerazzurri. The player’s agent has also stated that his client is available but that it’s down to his current employers to set the price.
ROMA BACK IN THE HUNT:
Roma have already expressed an interest in recent months and both coach Spalletti and DS Sabatini have never hidden their admiration for the 23-year-old. However, failure to qualify for the group stages of the Champions League has hindered the giallorossi’s quest to land another big signing before the window closes next week and will have to sell before they can buy. Inter will not accept anything less than €20 million and the only player in Spalletti’s current squad that will fetch that amount of money is Argentine midfielder Leandro Paredes; a player who has already been linked with Juventus and Milan. The rossoneri in fact have already requested a loan-deal but Roma are in no position to accept this offer and will look for an outright sale should they decide to part company.
