Roma: keen on Ben Arfa. Milan: three goalies on the wishlist
Despite an excellent beginning of the season, AS Roma –who, perhaps, as reported by calciomercato.com, are attracting some Arabian and Russian investors, are also working to reinforce their team: the giallorossi seem particularly active on the English market: as highlighted by the Daily Express, in fact, 32 year old defender Patrice Evra has admitted that he has no intention to extend his contract with Manchester United, and the Capital’s club, who in the past has shown an interest for the France international, could swoop again on him. Moreover, according to caughtoffside.com, the giallorossi are ready to join Monaco, Paris Saint-Germain and Liverpool in the hunt for Newcastle 26 year old attacking midfielder Hatem Ben Arfa.
The priority for AC Milan is the signing of a new goalkeeper, as the contract of 37 year old Christian Abbiati, which will expire at the end of the season, won’t be extended: as highlighted by calciomercato.com, the main candidates are Borussia Moenchengladbach 21 year old Marc-André ter Stegen, Celtic 25 year old Fraser Forster and FC Basel 24 year old Yann Sommer. The rossoneri are also seeking a left back, and seem particularly interested in Saint-Etienne 22 year old Faouzi Ghoulam, who, during the last transfer window, was about to join Torino.
