Roma could still dump Milan target Paredes

Milan fans aren’t just disappointed in last night’s defeat to Napoli, but also by their club’s lack of transfer activity.

Coach Vincenzo Montella wants more midfielders, but Adriano Galliani’s statement from before the defeat spelled things out very clearly: “If nobody leaves, no-one’s coming in”.

The manager wants to add another creative central midfielder, and youngster Mario Pasalic doesn’t quite hack it yet. Montella would like an alternative to Riccardo Montolivo.

The Repubblica claim that one of his targets, Leandro Paredes, could be sacrificed by Roma in order to search for someone with more Serie A experience [what a mistake that would be. Ed], with Coach Luciano Spalletti’s asking for Monaco’s Joao Moutinho, whilst refusing Tomas Rincon of Genoa.

Milan are still interested in Paredes, who is still one of Vincenzo Montella’s favourites. The odds of Milan pulling off the deal aren’t high, seeing as Roma want a clean-cut transfer fee, not a loan with a buyback.
