River Plate's Alario to become Icardi's backup at Inter
M.G.
As reported earlier today, Inter Milan are unhappy with their second striker Adem Ljajic; on the contrary, the 22-year-old center forward Mauro Icardi has become one of Roberto Mancini’s key players. The former Sampdoria needs in any case a backup, and for the next season the nerazzurri are thinking about another Argentine – River Plate 23-year-old Lucas Alario. The player has joined last summer from Colon for about 2 million euros and signed a three-year deal with the Milionarios. Alario sealed a hat-trick in the game against Nueva Chicago and scored many goals in the Copa Libertadores, and now is waiting to face Barcelona in the FIFA Club World Cup. Recently, Inter former striker Julio Cruz has admitted to admire his young compatriot.
