Revealed: Juventus' midfield shopping list includes Verratti, Tolisso, Goretzka
Who will Juventus buy in the upcoming transfer window?
With the Bianconeri travelling to Genoa this weekend, a lot of talk has rotated around the possibility of signing the Grifone’s centre midfielder, Tomas Rincon.
The Venezuelan is widely respected in Calcio, and was linked with a move to Roma last summer.
Beyond the 28-year-old, however, it looks like more names might be needed: with Paul Pogba’s departure, Miralem Pjanic has still not boosted the midfield enough, and hasn’t quite helped it emerge.
The Serie A champions are now, according to Tuttosport, looking to invest the €41 million they’re set to earn from the eventual sales of Kingsley Coman and Simone Zaza.
Who are they thinking of? Axel Witsel is one of them, though it looks like Zenit are being more stubborn than anticipated on that front. Beyond that, Corentin Tolisso is still a very popular option, and could cost the Old Lady €25m.
The Bianconeri are still monitoring PSG stars Blaise Matuidi and Marco Verratti, though the latter will hard to snag indeed.
A more long-term option would, however, be Leon Goretzka of Schalke 04, who is also known to entice the Old Lady. It looks like fans of the Turinese side will have an exciting January transfer window....
