REVEALED: Juventus’ January bid for Gundogan

Last summer, the last-minute signing of Hernanes and Mario Lemina left a bad taste in the mouth of Juventus supporters, who were expecting the likes of Mario Goetze or Julian Draxler to join them at the Stadium.

Even if the duo are still failing to blaze a trail with the Old Lady, their summer signings have allowed the club’s CEO Giuseppe Marotta to save enough money for a January purchase.

Massimiliano Allegri has been asking for at least one midfielder who can hold on his own with the club’s mainstays: namely Paul Pogba, Claudio Marchisio and Sami Khedira.

Calciomercato.com can exclusively reveal that Juvenutus want to invest all their summer savings on Borussia Dortmund’s star Ilkay Gundogan, with an offer in the region of €20-25 million.

The Germany International has recently extended his agreement with the Bundesliga giants until 2017, but rumours suggest that the 25-year-old would like to sign his next contract with another team and not with Borussia Dortmund.

This means that the next two transfer windows are the only ones available for the German side to cash in on the player.

Gundogan is also on Liverpool and Barcelona’s radar, but Juventus don’t want to be involved in an auction during the next summer transfer window.

The Bianconeri will submit a cash offer of € 20-25 million for Gundogan’s services in January.

Borussia Dortmund rejected the same offer last summer, but this time they could start negotiations with the Italians as they’d only have one more year before Gundogan’s eventual departure as a free agent.
