REPORT: Who is Swansea target Alberto Paloschi? Former Milan hopeful could be key addition

As reported by Sportmediaset.it, former Milan academy product Alberto Paloschi is in Swansea's sights to resurrect an ailing attack. But just who IS he, and what can he bring to Swansea's attack?

Paloschi introduced himself to the world of Italian football by scoring, er, this beauty on his Milan debut WITHIN TWENTY SECONDS OF COMING ON.

Having struggled for playing time at the San Siro, the young striker went on two very fruitful loan spells, first to Parma, then to Chievo, with whom he ended up signing long term. He's become an icon in Verona, a worthy, hard-working successor to legend Sergio Pellissier.

Paloschi does everything, often doing so much water-carrying that he's gassed by the time he has to, you know, score. This would explain his 1 in 4 scoring ratio in Serie A football (he's bagged 59 goals in 209 games), though he's shown signs of improvement recently.

He's started off very hot indeed this time round, and already has 6 goals in the kitty in just half a season. That makes it 28 goals in two-and-a-half seasons for the former Milanista.

Beyond that, Paloschi can work well on the wing, or even in front of the defence in the hole. He's a great foil, will happily drop deep to help build up play and possesses good speed. He's small, so he may need some time to adapt to the rigours of the Premier League.

This could well be the season Alberto Paloschi emerges as a force in Italy, and the time to sign him could well be know, before other more prestigious teams set their sights on him.
