Report: West Ham rival Lazio for Polish international Grosicki

Lazio have competition for Polish international Kamil Grosicki, if a report from Poland is to be trusted.

It appears that West Ham have joined the race for the Stade Rennais star, as well as two other Premier League clubs, according to Polish paper PS, (via Sportowefakty).

The Hammers, who are only one point above the relegation zone, want Grosicki to move there in the January window.

The 28-year-old came very close to agreeing terms with Burnley in summer, only for the move to crash and burn at the end of the window, prompting the Lancashire side to opt for Steven Defour and Jeff Hendrick.

Another spurned summer suitor, Lazio, also need options for their tired wingers, and are fascinated by the international, who has netted three Ligue 1 goals and added one assist so far this season.

The Hammers will have to hope that Rennes go through with the move this time, having cancelled Grosicki’s potential Burnley deal at the death, after Sean Dyche’s club had obtained permission for the winger to leave Poland’s training camp to sign his contract.
