REPORT: Suning want Leonardo to be Inter's new director of sports

According to certain indiscretions, it appears that Inter's new owners, the Suning Group, want Leonardo to become the club's new director of sport.

Having turned down Brazil's offer to hold a similar role with the Selecao, the former AC Milan and PSG player was tipped by Massimo Moratti to Zhang Jindgong and his son, Steven. They warmed to the idea, with Leonardo's popularity in Asia a key factor. Javier Zanetti has, as far as we can gather, already made a few friendly phonecalls to the ex PSG director.

That said, things aren't set to change in the front office now... but they may do in January. Current director of sport Piero Ausilio has one more year on his deal, but has yet to have a renewal offered to him.

For now, Ausilio's role will be to separate the men from the boys, something the Jindongs believe is key. Let's hope for his sake that he isn't part of the cull!
