    REPORT: Khedira’s expected recovery time

    According to the Italian newspaper Tuttosport, Sami Khedira’s injury shouldn’t be as bad as the one suffered by the Germany International midfielder in the friendly match played against Marseille last August,  which has forced him out of action for nearly two months.

    The former Real Madrid man was replaced after only ten minutes in yesterday’s Turin derby and today he will undergo medical which will reveal the player’s recovery time.

    As Tuttosport can understand, the 28 year old is suffering from a minor hip flexor strain that should prevent him to play only the next two games against Borussia Monchengladbach and Empoli.

    During yesterday’s post match interview, Allegri has already warned the Juventus’ fans that although he assumed that Khedira’s injury was nothing serious, he didn’t expect him to play against Borussia Monchengladbach next Wednesday.

    Today’s medical will reveal whether Tuttosport’s and Max Allegri's predictions were too optimistic or not.
