Preziosi: 'Napoli offered me €15m for Pavoletti, but I said no'

Napoli don't look to be getting any closer to finding another striker.

Simone Zaza has moved to Wolfsburg, while Fiorentina don't seem willing to sell Nikola Kalinic to the Partenopei, either.

Recent target Leonardo Pavoletti doesn't seem to be feasible, either, at least not according to Genoa's president.

"Aurelio De Laurentiis called me," Enrico Preziosi told gazzetta.it, "offering €15 million plus bonuses for my centre-forward, but I told him loud and clear that I wasn't even going to consider such a move a mere two days from the closure of the transfer window.

"I can't risk relegation by selling Pavoletti for so little, and it would be impossible to find a replacement. Simeone Jr is talented but still young, I can't put so much responsibility on his shoulders".
