Inter are following the new Sneijder: Praet
A very young talent owned by Anderlecht: we are not talking of Romelu Lukaku, but of Dennis Praet, central midfielder or quarter back, the last jewel of Les Mauves et Blancs. Born in 1994, he's a year younger than the striker courted by half of Europe. He playes for the under 17 of Anderlecht, with Lukaku's brother, Jordan, a strong left side defender.
There has been much talk about him for some time: between 2009 and 2010 Barcelona and Arsenal knocked at Racing Genk Lille's door. The English club brought Praet to London for a trial last season, where he performed brilliantly but the transfer was not made. Anderlecht took advantage of it and on the 18th of May 2010 signed him for three years. His father was happy: "Anderlecht is like a family, more than a football team. Here they are human beings first, than players. We are sure we made the right choice".
In the last year Praet has not stopped surprising people, both playing with Anderlecht and the Belgium national under 16 and under 17 teams (despite some muscular problems). Last week he took Anderlecht to victory in the prestigeous Aegon Future Cup, under 17 tournement organised by Ajax, also winning the title of best player. He has great skill and a good vision of the game, resembling Sneijder, but without his goals. According to rumors coming from Belgium, Pierluigi Casiraghi, head scout for Inter, has been following him for some time.
