Paulinho: Milan favourite over Roma
Paulinho could be the first defensive midfielder in the history of Corinthians to end the Brasileiro as the club’s top score. Meantime, Milan and Roma are closely following the 23-year-old player who could move to Italy in January 2012.
Corinthians are holding only 10% of the player’s rights thus can prevent him from leaving. Two private companies are sharing 90% of Paulinho’s rights and could agree to sell him for 10M Euros.
Roma’s observer Mario Mieli was a the club’s training camp last Friday but Milan have sent out sporting director Ariedo Braida to start the negotiations.
At the moment, the Rossoneri seem favourite over Roma and could complete the deal shortly although Paulinho may remain in Brazil until June 2012.
