Javier Pastore spoke about his future and chose Barcelona. Speaking with El Mundo Deportivo the Argentine talent of Palermo said: "I returned from the World Cup with great motivation and my teammates helped me a lot, I feel more trusted this season. Our team is competitive for a place in the Champions League".

"Am I linked to Zidane and Kakà? That's great, I am flattered. They are great champions but I have a lot to improve. I am serene, I am just 21. I do like attacking but I am also learning to defend to help the team".

"I am very happy every time I play for Argentina. It's a dream coming true. I play either as a winger or as a midfielder. Batista is a great coach and we know each other already. He's the best choice that they could make. Mourinho? He's a winning coach. Real Madrid have improved with him".

"Inter, Milan, Chelsea, Manchester City and Real Madrid are all great clubs but I like Barça the most. To play with Messi at Barcelona would be a dream. Xavi and Iniesta are terrific, the best in the world after Leo. I only have to work to reach their level. I have heard rumours but for now I am only thinking of the championship and not the market.
