Pasqual set for Fiorentina January exit

Manuel Pasqual is among the few Fiorentina players who have not benefitted from Paulo Sousa’s arrival at the club.

The 33-year-old has played 342 games at the Stadio Artemio Franchi since joining the Tuscan side from Arezzo back in 2005.

Yet Pasqual has found himself frozen out of the Portuguese coach's plans, only playing 472 minutes in seven appearances, with Marcos Alonso or Federico Bernardeschi chosen in his stead on the left flank.

As calciomercato.com understands, Pasqual could ask to leave the club in January as Conte won’t give him an Italy call up for EURO 2016 if he fails to play on a regular basis.

The Azzurri head coach is short of left-backs and Pasqual has a chance to take part in the European tournament that will be held in France next summer.

Pasqual’s contract with Fiorentina is due to expire in June 2016 and if he doesn't join another club in January he might leave La Viola as a free agent next summer.
