Paper Talk - Inter back for Man Utd flop Darmian, Chelsea have chance to snag Roma wantaway Nainggolan
Tuttosport write that, annoyed at Roma’s temporising over a new deal, the Red Devil could well be tempted to accept Antonio Conte’s offer, the former Juventus manager having pursued Nainggolan last summer.
The 28-year-old could well leave in January, seeing as his €6 million-a-year salary requests are too high for Roma’s future plans anyway. The Giallorossi could do with the €40m payday, too.
Though Chelsea are certainly a big name, so are Juventus, who have long been admirers of the Antwerp native. With their midfield emaciated by injuries, Coach Max Allegri could do with someone as dynamic and flexible as Nainggolan.
Another big story is Luis Muriel, with Napoli’s interest in him being emphasized by the Corriere dello Sport. Muriel helped Sampdoria come back from 2-0 down to win 3-2 thanks to a great brace. Tuttosport also pick up on Torino president Urbano Cairo’s confirmation: Andrea Belotti will get a new deal, the daily even quoting Sergio Pellissier as saying that Il Gallo is the last of a dying breed of pure centre-forward. Inter, for their part, are linked to Matteo Darmian of Manchester United, and Lucas Biglia of Lazio. Darmian is there to help out on the flanks, where Inter’s full-backs have flattered to deceive.
