Paper Talk: Donnarumma’s price-tag revealed, Chinese club want Roberto Mancini
Donnarumma is considered Gigi Buffon’s natural heir at Italy and Giuseppe Marotta wants him to fill the boots of Buffon at Juventus as well, but according to the Italian paper, the Old Lady might be asked to pay up to € 60 million to seal the transfer of the talented goalkeeper.
Donnarumma has yet to find agreement over a new contract with the club and the priority of new Chinese owners will be to extend the 17-year-old goalkeeper’s stay before he turns 18, on the 25th of February. Donnarumma’s agent Mino Raiola had initially agreed a new € 2 million a year deal, but interests of Real Madrid and Juventus have convinced the Italian player agent to put negotiations on hold and ask for a higher salary.
Meantime, Marcello Lippi has revealed to Il Corriere dello Sport that Chinese club Shanghai Greenland want to hire Roberto Mancini as their new boss.
The former Inter manager had also been linked with replacing Sam Allardyce as England national team coach, but the Italian tactician has yet to make a decision over his future after that Inter sacked him last August, just three weeks before the beginning of the Serie A campaign.
“Shanghai teams are very ambitious. SIPG have just replaced Sven Goran Erikson with Andre Villas Boas and Shanghai Greenland want to hire Roberto Mancini. Every Chinese cub want to stop the domination of Guangzhou Evergrande”, Lippi has told the Italian paper.
