Paper Talk - Alvaro Morata; destination Premier League, Roma lining up Belgian international Witsel, Napoli pressing for Klaasen,
Juventus striker Alvaro Morata is set to leave Turin as Real Madrid decide to activate their €30 million buy-back clause. His stay back in the Spanish capital will be brief however and as La Gazzetta dello Sport reports this morning, his future lies in the Premier League. Chelsea and Arsenal look set to fight it out for his signature with the West London club in pole-position.
Incoming manager Antonio Conte was influential in bringing the 23-year-old to Turin before he left the club in 2014 to take over the role as Italian national team boss. Now the two look set to be reunited with the journal reporting that a salary of €7 million a season plus bonuses has been put on the table. Across London, Arsenal have been monitoring the Spaniard for some time too and were linked with a bid in January. There could be a challenge from across the channel too with PSG also wanting an attacking replacement for Zlatan Ibrahimovic.
