    PAPER TALK - Juve challenge Manchester duo for Grimaldo; Foxes in hunt for Kucka

    Juventus have become the latest club to be linked with a move for highly-rated Benfica defender Alex Grimaldo. The 21-year-old Spaniard, who was nurtured in the youth ranks at Barcelona, made his full professional debut for the Lisbon giants at the start of the current campaign and has caught the eye of several of the European heavyweight clubs including both Manchester United and Manchester City and Valencia.
     
    Corriere dello Sport now claims that the Serie A champions are starting to get serious about the player and it looks as though he will be the centre of a four-way power struggle at the end of the current campaign.

    Juventus CEO Beppe Marotta has confirmed that Juventus will make a January bid for Belgian midfielder Axel Witsel (Tuttosport) The 27-year-old was subject of much speculation in the summer with Everton also close to grabbing his signature.

    Corriere dello Sport states that Leicester City have made enquiries to Milan over Slovakian midfielder Juraj Kucka. The Foxes have reportedly already offered the rossoneri €10 million for the 29-year-old.

    Tuttosport claims that Inter representatives will travel to Manchester on Thursday to discuss the possibility of bringing United defender Matteo Darmian back to Italy in January.

    “Black Monday” is how Tuttosport described the dismissals yesterday, of two Italian coaches plying their trade in England. Both Swansea City boss Francesco Guidolin and Aston Villa coach Roberto Di Matteo were relieved of their duties within minutes of each other.
     
    Corriere dello Sport writes that Roma midfielder Daniele De Rossi could remain at the club at the end of the season. The 33-year-old, who’s contract expires next summer, looked to be headed Stateside but the journal now claims he could extend his stay at his hometown club.
