Paolo Rossi: 'Italy will win Euro 2016 if they beat Germany'
“Italy can do it, and I’m sure that if they beat Germany that they can win the Euros, too,” he told the ANSA press agency, “I see the group is united and determined as we were back in Spain ‘82”.
Rossi was a part of the team that won Italy’s third World Cup, ending the tournament as the top scorer with six goals in the Azzurri’s last three games- including a hat-trick against Brazil.
“Italy’s defence is as good as it was when we won the World Cup in 2006. It really isn’t easy to score against us, and this is how you build tournament success”.
