Palermo owner: two EPL clubs want Vazquez
The Palermo owner has come out against some of the clubs who are interested in star midfielder Franco Vazquez, claiming that some are trying “to spend as little as possible on him”.
“There are those who want to speculate on the Vazquez deal, but we want to earn a lot from it.
“Two English teams are interested in him, as well as one very important European club. [Director of sport] Foschi will meet with them soon”.
The idiosyncratic owner also had something to say about his choice to let striker Alberto Gilardino go: “He’s grown attached to the fans, which is normal. He cost Palermo 3 million, I gave him two last year, and one of severance pay”.
