Palermo: Novellino out as Ballardini returns
Our colleague Alfredo Pedullà states that president Maurizio Zamparini has an agreement with the Roman to guide the club until 2017. Before you ask, this is the same Ballardini that was sacked in January by the larger than life patron.
After last night’s 3-0 home defeat to Lazio which was marred by crowd disturbances, the writing was on the wall for Novellino who only came into the club on March 10 but has only picked up one point in his four games in charge.
Ballardini is expected to take training tomorrow, with the squad in “ritiro” in Brescia ahead of Sunday’s match at the J Stadium against Juventus.
