Palermo not going to sack De Zerbi
The Serie A relegation candidates have lost seven successive games settling a new, negative record in Italy’s top flights. Despite this morning’s reports claimed that Palermo boss Maurizio Zamparini was going to sack De Zerbi today, the Serie A side’s president has confirmed trust in the Italian manager who is at his first experience with a Serie A club.
“We are determined to get over this situation with De Zerbi, taking any other decision is not going to lead to different results. I’ve informed the manager that I want him to remain in charge of the club and I want to whole team to believe that we can survive in Seri A. I believe that the quality of this squad and this manager do not match our position in the table”, Maurizio Zamparini has claimed.
