Orsi: 2006 Scudetto belongs to Inter
Former Inter assistant coach Fernando Orsi claimed that the 2006 Scudetto belongs to Inter. Exclusively for CM.com he also spoke about the Nerazzurri and a number of interesting youngsters: “I think it was just fair to give Inter that title. President Massimo Moratti is usually calm and open to talk, but I can see him being very determined on this matter. The President feels that Scudetto belongs to him and will do everything possible to keep it,” claimed Orsi.
“This is a year of transition for Inter. No one expected such a complicated start to the season. Joel Obi and Luc Castaignos have a good potential but Ricky Alvarez seems the most talented youngster. I am also curious to watch Andrea Poli in action".
“Francesco Bardi is doing very well and seems a really promising goalkeeper. He already paid back the faith Walter Novellino gave him. Finally Serie B clubs are giving youngsters more opportunities and this is good news also for the Italy Under-21 team,” added Orsi.*
"CM.com also questioned Orsi about Lele Oriali and Zlatan Ibrahimovic during his days at Inter with Roberto Mancini: “I don’t know what happened between Oriali and Inter but I was glad to work with him because he was a true Interista who would give his soul for the team. For Mancini and me he was an important member of the club and it is sad to see him out of Inter also knowing that his relationship with Moratti was always good.*
“I think Zlatan exaggerated a bit about the ‘clans’ in the dressing room. Inter won everything in the last few seasons and you cannot do that if your players are not united. That said, in a team with many foreigners it is just normal to have group of friends from the same nationality. But the most important thing is that on the pitch everybody plays together for the same goal, which is what happened at Inter,” concluded Orsi.
