OPINION: Carlos Bacca should learn from Alvaro Morata
The Serbian tactician is obviously not happy with his strikers and has made it clear during a pre-match press conference ahead of Milan’s next game against Lazio.
“We have some quality players, but our problem right now is the attack. Our strikers are the ones who have to score goals, they must be our added value. I expect more from them in the next games because it is not possible they could not produce one shot on target in the last two matches.”
Now that the team seems to be finally compact again, Miha urges his strikers to be more unpredictable in the final third. Everyone playing in that position need to step-up and be braver, producing brands of individual brilliance. Miha would like to see more from Carlos Bacca in particular.
The Rossoneri tactician wants his front-man to imitate the style and mentality that Alvaro Morata showed at the Allian Arena on Wednesday night.
AC Milan’s leading scorer can determine games even more than what he has already done. The Colombia International is not doing any better than his fellow strikers and is without a goal in the last four games. As CM.com’s Federico Albrizio reports, Bacca underwent some personalized tactical trainings earlier this week which could help him to read the opponents’ defensive actions better.
“Bacca told me yesterday he used to have much more space when he was playing in Spain”, Miha told journalists.
“When he comes into possession, the first thing he still thinks about is to dribble his opponent. The Serie A might not be the most spectacular league in the world anymore, but it is definitely the most difficult.”
