    OPINION: Candreva benching wrong move

Franck De Boer is still unable to get Inter back on track. After the nerazzurri shock defeat against Chievo in the opening Serie A game of the season, Inter got an unconvincing draw against Palermo, recovering from one goal down.

Inter’s start to the game was very slow, though Franck De Boer’s men got some kind of reaction in the last 15 minutes of the first half when they created a couple of clear-cut chances. Inter’s second half version, however, was still  unconvincing so much so Palermo took the lead with a lucky goal by former Parma man Rispoli.

Icardi’s goal levelled the game, but it is pretty clear that De Boer got it terribly wrong once again. It might be a problem of physical preparation, but the Dutchman did absolutely nothing to wake his man up.

De Boer opted for Banega in the playmaker position with Medel and Kondogbia in centre midfield. Trouble is, there was no link between Inter’s midfield and attack and De Boer was not quick enough to make useful changes.

It took him almost 70 minutes to take Antonio Candreva off the bench. The Italy International started the Chievo game on the bench as well, but today he registered the assist for Icardi’s equalizer.

Inter must snatch a win after the International break, when they will travel to Pescara. Massimo Oddo’s side have proved to be a very hard opponent to face as they held Napoli to 2-2 win in their first game of the season last week.

Thohir insists that De Boer is the right person at the right time, but Mr. Zhang is everything but happy about the team’s recent results. Both Joao Mario and Gabigol will be available for the Pescara game in two weeks time. From now on Suning want to see no more false steps.
