OPINION: AC Milan are a joke, how on earth Balo deserves to stay?
The rossoneri showed lack of commitment and responsibility in the last few games and there is now a concrete risk of missing out on a Europa League spot after that representatives of the club had been chattering about how important it would have been to play a European competition next season.
Truth is, someone must have thought it is no worth starting the 2016-17 campaign in July playing Europa League play offs and cut short summer holidays. Yet again, being trashed by big European clubs during pre-season tournaments in the USA must be much better than playing an official game in Azerbaijan or Romania in the middle of summer.
Even Gianluigi Donnarumma, the only good news of another tragic season, committed lot of mistakes against Frosinone, so much so he has to be blamed for the first two goals scored by the Serie A strugglers. Players have no more motivations and even the tall story about how important the Coppa Italia final is, convinces no one.
As small shareholder La Scala said last week, AC Milan are a joke which is not even funny anymore. Players understood the club has no plans for the future when Berlusconi decided to sack Mihajlovic to hire Brocchi. Carlos Bacca & Co. are probably trying to make the club’s owner understand that they do not want Brocchi to be the team’s coach.
However, how can club’s directors demand seriousness and respect to players if they are the ones who have made senseless choices in first place?
One last thing about Mario Balotelli: having scored his last Serie A goal in September, how on earth does he deserve to stay? Once upon a time he knew how to kick penalties at least, now he’s not even able to score from the spot.
