    Inter activate option to buy Jovetic on a permanent deal

    Inter have completed the signing of Stevan Jovetic from Manchester City as the Montenegro International has an option on his contract that forces Inter to pay the player’s buy-out clause after his first appearance in the 2016-17 campaign.

    Jovetic entered in the 73rd minute of yesterday’s Pescara clash and his appearance at the Adriatico Stadium is worth € 14.5 million for Manchester City.

    Inter had tried to sell Jovetic to the best bidder earlier this summer, but they failed to find any suitor willing to invest € 14.5 million to sign him on a permanent deal.

    Without yesterday’s appearance, Inter would have been obliged to meet Jovetic’s transfer fee by the 31st of December 2016, unless the nerazzurri sat in any of the last three places of the Serie A table.
