OFFICIAL: Former Fiorentina flop Vanden Borre joins Montpellier

Fiorentina fans don't like being reminded of Antony Vanden Borre. The former Belgian prospect joined the Viola in 2007/2008 among high hopes that he would establish himself as one of Calcio's most consistent (and attacking) full-backs.

Instead, the former Diable Rouge regressed, eventually being loaned out to a number of clubs, even joining fellow Serie A club Genoa.

Now the 28 – year-old is to get another shot at another European league: Ligue 1 outfit Montpellier have signed the Anderlecht man, hoping that his good Jupiler League form can translated to French football... and that he can leave some of his idiosyncratic behaviour behind him.
