    OFFICIAL: Digne joins Barcelona

    It looks like today is the day that former AS Roma players have chosen to join a new team. AS Monaco announced the signing of Margan De Sanctis just a few hours ago, whilst Barcelona have published a statement on their official website in which they claim they have acquired Lucas Digne for € 16.5 million plus a bonus of € 4 million.

    Digne, 22, signs a five-year-deal  at the Nou Camp and his release clause has been set to € 60 million.

    Walter Sabatini tried in vain to sign Digne on a permanent deal after that the player had spent the last season on loan at AS Roma. Trouble is PSG’s asking price of € 20 million was too much for AS Roma that have signed Mario Rui from Empoli in that position.

    Barcelona have met the PSG’s asking price and Digne becomes the third signing of the blaugrana in the current transfer window after Umtiti and Marlon.

    Digne played 33 games with AS Roma last term scoring 3 goals and registering as much assists.
