Roma agreed a contract extension with Daniele De Rossi. The Italian international put pen to paper on a 5-year contract.

“We found an agreement with De Rossi this week but didn’t want to announce it in order not to disturb the team,” explained director Franco Baldini.

“Tomorrow we will hold a press conference to explain all the contract details. We are delighted that the players agreed to continue his career with our shirt despite all the offers he received.

“De Rossi is a fundamental member of our team and when the contract details will be unveiled it will be clear that Roma made a huge effort to keep him.”
