Official: Cruciate ligament injury for Florenzi

AS Roma right-back Alessandro Florenzi, 25, picked up a cruciate ligament injury yesterday night during the Serie A clash Sassuolo-Roma, the giallorossi have announced through their official website and social media accounts.
Florenzi was carted off in tears and underwent medical examination during the night.

Results of medical tests have highlighted the cruciate ligament rupture of his left knee.  The Italy International will undergo surgery today.

Florenzi’s injury comes after those of other two Serie A stars: Milan’s Riccardo Montolivo and Napoli’s Arkadiusz Milik who have suffered the same injury and could remain out of action up to six months.
