    OFFICIAL: Castan joins Sampdoria on loan

    Leandro Castan will be playing for Sampdoria next season. The blucerchiati have announced the signing of the Brazilian defender on a seasonal loan deal from AS Roma.

    Castan underwent brain surgery in 2014, right at the end of his first spell at AS Roma, when he featured as one of the best defenders of the entire league.

    The 29-year-old centre-back has only six appearances in the 2015-16 campaign with AS Roma.
