Neymar, CR7, Morata, Higuain: who could replace Ibra at PSG?
Swedish ace Zlatan Ibrahimovic announced this morning he will be leaving PSG at the season and the Ligue1 giants are looking for a replacement of the man capable of scoring 46 goals in 49 games this season. It comes without saying that it won’t be an easy task at all.
CM.com’s Alessandro Cosattini has highlighted who can replace the former AC Milan star at the Parc des Princes.
NEYMAR OR CRISTIANO RONALDO – The Brazilian star is in pole position. He’s Nasser Al-Khelaifi’s priority. Trouble is, Neymar has a 193 million release-clause and Barcelona are working to further increase the fee to € 250 million, just as much as Messi’s. The number one alternative to Neymar would be Cristiano Ronaldo. Rumours coming from L’Equipe suggest that Jorge Mendes and the French club have reached a verbal agreement for the Portuguese star move in Paris. CR7 is negotiating a new contract with the Casa Blanca, but the interest of PSG could tempt the 30-year-old ace.
FRENCH INTERNATIONALS AND THE UNDERDOG – Alexandre Lacazette and Antoine Griezmann are two French International who will be claiming a starring at EURO 2016 this summer. One of them (or maybe both of them) could move to the Parc des Princes in the summer. Griezmann costs somewhere around € 70 million, The Lyon striker (last year’s Ligue1 top scorer) would arrive for a fee in the region of € 40-50 million. He has scored 23 goals in 43 games this season. The underdog is Alvaro Morata. The Spaniard will temporarily move back to the Santiago Bernabeu in the summer waiting for his next stop. Arsenal, Leicester and even a return to Juve could be plausible solutions as well as a transfer at PSG.
CAVANI AND EL PIPITA – Whoever will arrive to replace Ibra, will probably not be playing alongside Edinson Cavani who’s set to leave France despite the club’s will to keep him in the squad. His replacement at Napoli, Gonzalo Higuain, is another of those players who has attracted the interest of the Parc des Princes outfit as triggering the Argentinean’s € 94 million release clause would be no problem for Mr. Al-Khelaifi.
PREMIER LEAGUE STARS – The last two names are not classic centre forwards but two pacey wingers who might be looking for a new club in the summer. Chelsea’s Eden Hazard has already revealed that he wouldn't mind a summer move in Paris in the summer, whilst Arsenal’s Alexis Sanchez is rumoured to be edging closer to the Emirates’ exit door, looking for a new challenge. Juventus are also in hunt of the Chile International who can leave Arsenal for an offer in the region of € 55 million.
