Nesta's hand operated on
AC Milan defender, Alessandro Nesta, had an operation to his hand, as the club's website officially stated: "The head of the A.C. Milan medical staff, Doctor Gianluca Melega, has communicated that the player Alessandro Nesta underwent surgery this morning to stabilise a fracture of the 4th metacarpal of his right hand sustained in an accidental clash during the Juventus-Milan match in the Tim Trophy.
The operation performed at the "The Madonna" Medical Centre in Milan by Prof. Carlo Grandis, a hand specialist, and assisted by Dr. Piero Volpi was a complete success. The prognosis is about seven days during in which the player can still take part in specialised training, Nesta will certainly be available for the opening day of the championship".
