Napoli want two Fiorentina stars for Scudetto push

Who are Napoli going to shop for this summer?

Though Aurelio De Laurentiis has come under fire of late for his occasional reluctance to buy big names, the Partenopei are very close to crafting a Scudetto-winning team.

Il Mattino claim that the San Paolo side are interested in Matias Vecino, the Uruguayan being director of sport Cristiano Giuntoli's main target.

We recently reported that Napoli and Fiorentina were considering a Mirko Valdifiori - Vecino swap, as the Uruguayan used to play under Maurizio Sarri's tutelage at Empoli.

Then again, Valdifiori did, too, and his has been a maiden season to forget with the Azzurri.

Il Mattino have also reported that the Neapolitans are considering a bid for Nikola Kalinic, so as to employ the Croatian star in a backup role behind Gonzalo Higuain.

This, however, begs the question of what the Partenopei would do with Manolo Gabbiadini, who would arguably be starting if he played anywhere else.
