Napoli: the last call for Liverpool target Insigne
The Italian winger is having a terrible start to the season. After the opening nine Serie A games of the last campaign, he had already scored six goals, whilst he has yet to find the net this term.
In addition to that, Napoli president Aurelio De Laurentiis has rejected the player’s request to sign a new € 4-million-a-year contract and Italy boss Giampiero Ventura did not call him for the first four games of the national team.
Valencia and Liverpool are monitoring the situation. Insigne is not happy and could decide to leave Napoli. Rumours coming from England suggest that the Naples-born winger wants to move to Anfield Road in January, but talking about his San Paolo exit is still premature at this stage.
Tonight Insigne has a chance to shine and impress his fans after that they booed him in the last game played at the San Paolo against Besiktas in Champions League, when Insigne left the pitch in tears after fluffing a penalty.
