Napoli’s midfielder on PSG and Man Utd radars
The former Verona regista was reported to be very close from a club’s exit last summer as he failed to live up to the San Paolo’s expectations during the reign of current Real Madrid manager Rafa Benitez. The arrival of Mirko Valdifiori appeared as the proof that the Brazilian’s farewell to the Stadio San Paolo was just a matter of time.
The 23 year old surprisingly reshuffled his status at the club thanks to an impressive season kick-off as he registered two assists in the first seven seasonal appearances.
His bright delivers seem to have attracted the interests of PSG and Manchester United. It is fair to say that Jorghinho’s qualities interested the Ligue 1 title holders even before that the player completed his move at Napoli, one year and a half ago. As far as the LVG’s side is concerned, the Dutch manager received positive reports from the same team that scouted Matteo Darmian.
No official offers have been made yet by the two Champions League contenders, but if the player will confirm his shiny qualities also through the rest of the season, his current € 10 million price tag won’t be enough to satisfy Aurelio De Laurentiis’ requests.
Despite being born in Imbituba, Brazil, Jorginho holds a dual passport and he has been recently reported to be willing to adopt Italian citizenship in order to receive a Conte call-up with the Azzurri.
