Napoli president announces star striker's return for Real Madrid clashes in Champions League
“Real Madrid are an extremely strong team, they have plenty of top players, but we have some very good ones too and Milik will recover in time. However, we are also going to sign a new striker who can replace him and can adapt to Sarri’s system. We’ll have two new strikers when we’ll be playing against Real Madrid.”
Milik picked up a knee injury almost two months ago and his injury came as a big blow for Napoli that had signed him to replace Gonzalo Higuain in the summer. The Poland striker has seven goals and one assists in nine appearances with the club so far this season.
Genoa’s Leonardo Pavoletti is said to be topping De Laurentiis’ shopping list even if the Italian striker’s physical issues are discouraging Napoli from making a big money offer not to mention that Genoa are not open to sell the former AC Milan striker. West Ham flop Simone Zaza could be a possible alternative target to Pavoletti.
