Napoli offer Ghoulam new contract to ward off Chelsea interest
The former Saint Etienne defender’s contract with the Serie A giants runs until 2018, but Ghoulam is said to be willing to sign a contract extension with the club that signed him in January 2014 for just € 5 million.
Ghoulam will join Algeria national team to play the African cup of Nations in January and Chelsea are believed to be considering making an offer of £ 24 million to welcome the player’s services in the winter transfer window.
The player, however, is likely to snub a move to the Stamfrod Bridge signing a contract extension with the partenopei. Ghoulam has registered five assists in 18 games in all competitions so far this season.
