Napoli: keen on Agger. Juventus: plan for Zappacosta
As reported earlier, Napoli are in competition with Inter Milan for FC Porto 26 year old Fernando Francisco Reges; but the Brazilian-born Portuguese player is not the only midfielder tracked by the azzurri, whose main target remains Barcelona 29 year old Javier Mascherano: interviewed by Extra Time, the Argentina international has declared that one day he would like to work again with Rafa Benitez. Also to improve their team’s flank –their real priority, considering the recent injury suffered by Pablo Armero- Napoli are in competition with the nerazzurri, as both club are keen on Barcelona 22 year old Martin Montoya and Genoa 21 year old Sime Vrsaljko, but the azzurri are also thinking about a low-cost solution, like 33 year old Anthony Réveillère, actually a free agent. Moreover, Napoli also need a new center back, and are tracking another former Benitez’s pupil, Liverpool 28 year old Daniel Agger: the Denmark international, as highlighted by Il Mattino, is considered by Benitez himself the main alternative to his current teammate Martin Skrtel.
Also the Serie A defending champions Juventus are seeking a right back, and, as already reported, are interested in 21 year old Davide Zappacosta, actually in co-ownership between Avellino and Atalanta and also tracked by Padova: as reported by calciomercato.com, the bianconeri could sign the Italy Under 21 international already during the next transfer window and loan him out to the Venetian club.
