Napoli could replace wantaway star Dries Mertens with Atleti target Antonio Candreva

Lazio president Claudio Lotito has slapped a € 40 million price-tag on biancocelesti star Antonio Candreva, the Messaggero has reported.

The Aquile’s owner has reportedly rejected Atletico Madrid’s € 25 million bid to sign the Italy International, but Napoli could hold the key to seal the 30-year-old transfer.

With Dries Mertens tipped to be leaving the San Paolo in search of more game time, Aurelio De Laurentiis could tempt Lazio offering Manolo Gabbiadini (also looking for more playing time) plus € 8 million to sign the former Juventus and Parma man who’s also believed a target of Serie A side Inter.
