Roma midfielder Radja Nainggolan has admitted that he is surprised to have been left out of the Belgian national side for their upcoming international matches. The 28-year-old explained that; “I am disappointed because I’m in great form. I also find it a little strange as I played well on Thursday evening in the Europa League and scored”.
 

After coach Roberto Martinez slammed both Nainggolan and Fellaini for smoking during the last round of international matches, it was put to the player known as “Ninja” that this might have been the reason for his omission. He replied; “I have no problem with the coach but it hurts to be left out. I want to play for my country always and I think that I have always done well when selected. I will fight to regain my place for sure”.

Nainggolan’s Roma team host Bologna at the Stadio Olimpico on Sunday evening.
