Mourinho 'I could have returned to Serie A', 'EPL wants small teams to be competitive'
“I could have gone to Italy or Spain,” the former Champions League winner with Inter Milan told Sport, “but the Premier League is special. In some countries the big clubs just want to keep growing and leave everyone behind, but in the Premier League the opposite happens.
“They want everyone to be competitive”.
The Special One also waxed lyrical and pensive, despite his Manchester United earning six Premier League points out of six with wins over Bournemouth and Swansea.
“I’m a bit stupid, sometimes arrogant, when I set myself objectives.
"The stupidest thing, however, is wanting to win every game, every competition, but it’s a good start to establish targets for the players. We’re playing to win every game, we’ll draw conclusions at the end [of the season]”.
