Mourinho awaits Pogba: "We are closing in on a new midfielder"
New Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho continues to keep people guessing about Juventus midfielder Paul Pogba’s imminent return to Old Trafford this summer. Speaking to the BBC, the Special One stated that; “I don’t want to speak about players who are under contract at different clubs as it doesn’t please me when people do the same about my players”.
He continued; “I won’t hide from the fact that we are looking for further reinforcements, we set ourselves a target of four players and we already have three (Bailly, Mkhitaryan and Ibrahimovic) in place. Everyone talks about Pogba but it would not be a surprise if he is not our next acquisition as we are looking for the right profile, not a particular name”. He concluded that; “We have two other options in front of us and we are about to conclude a transaction”.
