Moratti: ‘Suning won’t take majority stake. Takeover of Inter will take a month’

Former Inter president Massimo Moratti has answered to questions of reporters about imminent takeover of Inter by Suning Group.

“I think they [Thohir and Suning] are talking about it. I have no news. I still think Chinese investors want to buy the 20% stake in the club.”

“I don’t know if I would agree to sell my stakes, let’s see. Everyone hopes we are going to sign big names, that’s what Thohir tried to do and also what the Chinese want acquiring a 20% stake.”

“I don’t think we’ll have news in a short while. I think it’ll take a month or so. They have been negotiating for quite long time now. “

“I’ve talked with Thohir about a majority share sale, but concretely he is only negotiating the sale of a 20% share.”
